Most phones are equipped with an email client, and Facebook, Flickr, and Twitter (Twitpic) provide a secret email address for every user to send their photos to… Resulting in the photos appearing on the website straight away – to get your secret email address, visit the following URL’s:

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/mobile/
Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/account/uploadbyemail/
Twitter: http://twitpic.com/upload/

If you want to send your photos to all three (or more) addresses in one go, then set up a contact named “Social Media” and enter each email address followed by a semi colon ;
This will mean you send one email and your photos appear on X number of social networking sites at the same time!

Tweet Twittering Twitter

At the beginning of the year I decided I’d try out Twitter to see what it’s all about, and I quickly got engrossed with it, not as much as some people I might add! I firstly started “following” celebrities just for the sheer hell of it, and surprisingly, they are actually quite interesting, the reason why is that Twitter’ers get an insight into their daily lives and realise that they are no different to the rest of us, a regime to be getting on with etc! Though none the less, its even more interesting when these celebrities post pictures using the TwitPic, for example, Philip Schofield (@Schofe) posted pictures of himself and other celebrities at the National Television Awards, and Chris Moyles (@CHRISDJMOYLES) regularly posts pictures of himself and the Radio 1 breakfast team mucking about… the same goes for others as well – fascinating! Or is it just me, am I sad?!

Anyway apart from the celebrities there are also people I know, companies I like, and the best part, influential people I like – for me that’s fellow software and web developers, these people obviously twitter away with what they are up to, but they also share some really great resources that I wouldn’t of otherwise found. So, big up Twitter!

As Twitter is now picking up some serious pace, as in popularity, there are several Twitter clients, these are applications that you can use either on your phone or on your computer, and one of my favourites is blu (see screenshot), and TwitterFox for Firefox (BTW - if you are not using Firefox you really should consider it – it will make your life better! – and if you don’t know that tune, its Tampera - If You Buy This Record), these applications make the whole twittering tweeting a lot more exciting and easy to use, so go right ahead and sign up and see who follows you!

Finally, I’ll leave you with a few celebrity twitterers:

@Wossy – Jonathan Ross (TV Presenter)
@CHRISDJMOYLES – Chris Moyles (Radio DJ)
@Schofe – Philip Schofield (TV Presenter)
@RealJudgeJules – Judge Jules (DJ)
@MayorOfLondon – Boris Johnson (Mayor of London)
@richardbranson – Richard Branson (entrepreneur)
@JohnCleese – John Cleese (comedian)
@jimmycarr – Jimmy Carr (comedian)
@AlanCarr – Alan Carr (comedian)
@britneyspears – Britney Spears (singer)
@snoopdogg – Snoop Dogg (rapper/singer)
@rustyrockets – Russell Brand (comedian)
